I guess this is the first thread here, and I hope it's in the right spot. Anyway, I am looking to replace the center vents with the 3 gauge pod I have from straightlinespecialties. I wanna know how to remove these, as I guess they don't come off with a flat head, like most cars. Thanks!

You have to open the vent (like you would to have it blow air on you) and there are 2 screws that hold it in there. They are behind the fins all the way on the outer edges.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, once you see them it's an easy out. If you really have issues and can't get it post up here, you could swing out to my place (Between Rogers and Elk River which isn't to far from ya) and I coudl do it for you quick. But you should be able to get it fairly easily.

On a 1G there are no screws to mess with. There are 2 tabs, one on each side that your hold down and then you pull on the vent itself and it will pop out. Just do one side ant a time and make sure you get the one side out a little and be careful with the otherside so it doesnt pop back in.

That's right. I'm sorry for the mis-information.
