Don't run the power straight to the battery, hook the power up to pin 102 or 107.

Do you have the gauges input wire hooked to pin 4? If you do, you must have the wires on the gauge mixed up.

the wires on the gauge can't be mixed up..they all collect into a plastic plug, that goes into the back of the gauge. Also, when i turn the illumination on for the gauges, the red lean light comes on. I don't even have the illumination hooked up to that gauge, cause it's not needed...

So,
Gauge power = pin 102 or 107
Gauge ground = pin 101 or 106
Gauge o2 input = pin 4
If thats how you have it hooked up, I'd say the gauge is fucked

I now also have the check engine light on. I wonder if I tapped the thing wrong..is the 4th pin as you are facing the plastic plug, or as the wires are nearest you? And, even IF i hooked that up wrong, how could it cause the check engine light to go off, because I connected the wires back..all I did was tap off of some wires..
