98-TSI, AWD, Big16, Apexi 3" "catless", DSMLINK, A/T =<SLOW>.
Hey Gents, <and Ladies>,
Happy Spring and Happy Boostin.....:->
Got one quick question for all you "wiseguys"?
The DSMlink has been showning my o2 readings as just "disappearing" about 50% of the time, and I'm getting VERY bad mileage, <like 12 mpg> so I'm thinking of replacing the o2 sensors.
The question being, with a "catless" system, should I even bother with replacing the back sensor, as it throws CELS anyway, since going catless?
Is the back o2 sensor an important part of the system, even after going catless or not?
Many Thanks in advance!
Howie

The rear O2 sensor is only there to see if the cat is working or not, it doesn't effect the way the car runs. You should have the oxygen sensor DTC checked in DSMLink, to keep it from throwing CELs.

Hey Chris,
Might do some crusing with my Sons this summer, if they don't mind hangin with the "old dude".......:->
My one son is starting to look for a project car, that should keep us busy, and me broke!
Right now I just want to get my ride tuned up for spring.
How have you been, how's school going?

Man that will be nice to have school all done huh, time to bring in some real good cake too!
Yep, my boy being a bit brighter than the old man is looking for a good deal on a stock 1G.
Told him to wait till fall, but he's got the spring itch, like the rest of us.
I'd might just sell mine as well, for the right $.......who knows?

There are a few really nice 1G's around for sale right now, the best being a '92 Laser AWD in the classifieds here. Based on your sig, are you thinking of buying a Honda? I did :D No more DSM's for me.
Enable PM's in your options so we don't waste any more board space.
