Why is there graffitti on the track? I noticed this in GT4 too.

I would guess its just people painting stuff for fun, they just jump the fence and paint where they want. Or it helps the drivers know where they are on the 12+ mile track with 170+ turns.

actually, there is really graffiti on the real track too. I guess it's also a public park too? Not sure on that, but I do know that when there are races on tv, the graffiti is there..or chalk.

Yeah, all kinds of people come and write love letters and make their mark. It's open to the public for people to test their skills on a track. I hope to one day get the opportunity to make a lap. On any given day, there are all kinds of awesome cars there. Would be a very memorable experience.

And since I have the info, I might as well share it. The Nurburgring:
-Is located in the Eiffel Mountains in Germany
-Has 147 corners
-Has claimed over 200 lives
-is 13 miles long
-costs 14 Euros/lap (2004)

Just some interesting tidbits. ;)
