I didnt know where to post this up, so I'll just post it here. Alright now, I know very little about thermostats and I know that my thermostat isnt opening up all the way. I just need to find out what kinda of thermostat I should get. It's a 1993 Talon AWD with minor bolt ons...I dont think it really matters what mods I have done, but its part of the topic rules. I just got back from Checkers and they have the 180 the 190 and 165. Which one is the one that I'd want to get?

195 or 180. Do not go with a 160 until someone makes a chip that can actually use this. Running a 160 in your car will cause the ECU to think that the car has not reached normal operating temperature and can cause idle problems, excessive fuel consumption, hesitation, etc. I personally run a 180 and it still almost reaches dead center on the gauge. And get better than average gas mileage and performs quite well.
I bought mine from Advance. I didn't cheese out though and got the Lifetime Superstat. Like $6-8.

I used the 180 since I had a FMIC and only drove the car during the summer...if you drive your car year-round and isn't too heavily modded get the OEM 192-195.

Yep, that's me! I guess I'm sticking with the OEM. I hope they dont charge me too much. Oh wait...Dont we get a discount from Mitsubishi? I'll have to go ask the Guru...
Thanks guys.
