In that case I am glad I didn't go. I hate watching honduh's do anything much less attempt speed. Watching fast DSMs grenade is hard to do as well for other reasons and with Jim not running and Carl not getting more than one worthwhile pass in, I am happy I stuck around here to get more work done. I will save my track visits for everything but sport compact meets, they sound like they are just getting worse.

The collection of 16 second cars that show up is the prime reason i don't even bother going on import day. I'd rather watch paint dry. You guys should come down on the domestic car race days.

Shane, out of curiosity, how many miles does your odometer read?

The ticket was to have been there on sat for test and tune. We showed up 2 hours late and still made 15 passes. We had the white 2G w/ the CF hood out there. 1st weekend out starting on low boost and pump gas Troy managed a 11.81@116 in a full weight 2G w/ PS and AC still intact.

Sorry to hear the bad news!

Wow Shane that is a major setback. I really wouldnt have much motivation to get it back up after how many times its died.

Having been the first SC day I knew this would have been the biggest... Usually if it rains and gets set for a rain date that is the best time to go becuase no one shows up.

Damn Shane that sucks. I remember when Mark made the downshift as well in IA a few years back while on the track. It happens, but hopefully you will be back sooner than expected.

Nice job on the 2g, you can always depend on the North Dakota boys to bring some quick cars.

Yeah, waiting for all the slow-ass cars there was really boring. That's the biggest attendance I've ever seen there, I had a hard time finding a spot in the spectator lot for my hooptie. It's hard to get any driving practice out there when you can only make a pass every 2-3 hours.

That really sucks, Shane!

I am surprised it died. I have done 3-2's a few times and am still going fine. I suppose you were over 7K when you did it though? I read a read a tip that helped me not do it anymore. So I will pass it along. Don't grip the shifter, just move it with an open hand. 1st to 2nd, and 3rd to 4th use the tips of your fingers. 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th push with you palm.

Hope it's just some bent valves. And use the N2O next time!
