View Full Version : To Tube, or not to Tube..
#1, please use a better way to structure your questions and actual grade level of posting. ESPECIALLY in all tech areas. Like I had said in the PM.
#2, as long as you have a T25 you don't need to worry anything about a different manifold. Adding to that is the fact that the stock 2G manifold can do wonders with a little porting as well. Outlandish manifolds aren't for everyone, and the money could and should be spent elsewhere.

Why not go with a proven brand if you are so set on a tubular manifold? Try Full Race or Alien Auto. There's a couple others but I can't think of them off hand.
By the way, nice job of fixing your grammar and punction after explicitly being asked to by the site Owner.
Since when are Alien Auto and Full Race proven manifolds? Did I miss something? For durability the SFP is probably the best on the market right now. Still nothing like a cast one though. Why even "upgrade" though? The stock manifold has pushed over 600 whp. If you want to upgrade, go with a larger cast manifold.

I am highly going to dissagree on the SFP one at the moment, I fixed a few in a row for the same guy, including the ones they sent him for replacement, the welding was pretty sad. There were other issues with the fabrication, but I would be hard pressed to believe that was the best on the market for durability.

I apologize, let me rephrase. They are the only tubular manifolds in which I have never heard of having cracking issues. Talk to Colin Receveur (turbo2Liter) on NABR and Toonerz, I am 99% sure he running a Full Race manifold with his T4 (I think that's what it is at least). I believe a few guys have had their DNP Manifolds Jet Hot coated fresh from the factory and have a seen a virtual elimination in cracking issues (as long as it was acceptably made from the factory of course). However, I can't provide a link to any testimonials about that because I can't even remember where the hell I read that back when. I could also be completely off base but just trying to provide some input.
Also, even though I don't have personal experience of course, I have read of a number of people having cracking issues with the SFP manifold.
I agree the SFP isn't that great either Mike. Some have lasted decently, but I am sure their quality has gone down hill. They are mild steel too, so it is only a matter of time before they fatigue.
I plan on having something on the market this fall/winter, but I need a stress relief oven first. I am going to make mine right, I haven't seen one on the market yet that does it correctly (for a DSM).
Much better Jakey, I just don't want to see people misled by vague statements. There are some people on here that don't know any better.
