Seriously, don't try this at home. Being a shop owner and mechanic, I have no excuse other than just being insanely busy for what I am going to tell you. I pushed the Mighty Max's brakes to the point where tonight i almost took out the Napa on Uni ;) (wouldn't have been a huge loss) I was going slow enought that the sidewalk stopped me before I dented the building. Right before I pulled in the lot, that annoying metal on metal noise I have been hearing for far too long dissapeared as well as the brakes. So I get out of the truck and on my way inside I notice a front backing plate for what used to be a brake pad laying in front of the truck, I touch it like a dumbass and almost end up with my fingers welded to it. Pretty bad when they fall right out of the caliper hahaha. I guess it's true about the mechanic working on their vehicles last. Good thing I know how to drive without brakes.
