remove the throttle cable

i was wondering on how to remove the throttle cable from the gas pedal besides cutting it? i spent about 10 mins trying to get it to pop out of the pedal but with no luck. and i turning to you guys for help.

Take the gas pedal assembly bolts out so you can move it around. Then you have to pop that white plastic clip out of its socket and then you pull the cable througg the firewall. The clip is a bitch to get free but it just takes patience.
