Ok I bought my 91 Eclipse and the door locks wernt working, I looked at the mechanics themselves and the conections on one door were broken and then other doors lock just wouldnt work. I have it so it locks now, but I hate having to open from the passenger door to crawl across and unlock the drivers door. What I need is some locks off the doors and the key that fits them. If anyone has some on a parts car Id like them. I know that im kind of in the wrong forum on this but I cant post in classifieds yet and I want to fix this. Also, I have heard of changing manual locks to power locks. How hard is it to do that?

DSMs have power locks (I thought all of them). When you flip one, it flips the other. Your best bet is a junk yard. I have two parts cars but I am in MN and do not car to go rummage through the cars.

I know that there are a few DSMs at Carney's Salvage here in Ames so I'm sure you could find the necessary parts there.

Not all 1G DSMs had power locks. I have added aftermarket actuators to one before, wasn't that bad. It can be done.
