2600's work just fine if the rest of the system is up to par. The problem is usually a worn clutch fork/pivot ball or the pedal assembly. I am pretty sure it is a 1g, so there is no restrictor in the line. The SS line on a 1g doesn't do much (I have one).

Bleed the system, then adjust the rod that is right by the top of the accelerator pedal. If that doesn't do it, it is probably your pedal assembly, check that.

He said he had a 2g AWD....that's why I mentioned that. If he had a 1g, then I would have him check the clutch pedal assembly....that's a given. As well as the other hydraulic components which often fail after a 2600 install.
