Somebody did that with a 78 Civic up in St. Cloud back in the 90's. It's kinda neat in a way. I wouldn't drive it but it definately would get the looks. Only thing missing is a sliding rear window.

One of the guys in Team Vanquish has a Civic Hatch with a JDM integra Type R motor, and he has the year before they made the hatchback an actual full door, it was funny as hell when he opened the rear window and the car has a mini tailgate. A MINI TAILGATE!!!! LMFAO yeah i know it wasnt funny. someone just ban me and get it over with.
