Isn't the purpose of a range to stay accurate when hunting season comes around? I agree though, shooting targets doesn't seem to thrilling, but shooting propane tanks might make things interesting.

Shooting clays is a blast. Can't say target shooting is much fun, and I've never been hunting.

But like Shane said, compare guns and a range to cars and a track... One in the same, just different hobbies/interests.

cars are more practical than weapons since you can use them everyday though

It's just fun to blow shit up sometimes. It is kind of like a game too. To see how accurate you can get. Hunting, that is the real fun though. Being quiet, trying to get in position to kill your prey. That is a real adrenaline rush. Then there are the hours of boredom to go along with it though.
