Some of you may have heard about my situation with my laser that I just bought,
well one of my options is too pay someone to fix one of my two cars, Id like to get my Conquest running and I have found an engine I can pick up in WI from a small bussiness owner, So does anyone know where a good place to have a swap done? Or an engine rebuild done? I need this done pretty soon and I dont have that much money to spend ($1200 total)
well thanks for the help!

I think a straigt up swap would be about $700-$900 from a shop dending on hours. Someone else might do it from there garage for less if they know enough and you trust them. I would suggest a shop though. QPR or Elite. They can't obvisouly cover anything that might happen to a motor you would supply, but they will be responsible for any actual work they do.

I definetly will have a shop do it, and do you know if they can rebuild the motor thats in there now and then provide some kind of warranty?
thanks again
and sorry about the title.

You'd want to contact either shop about thier warrenty policies. Both shops in the area most here would suggest have rotatng banners at the top of the forums. Click them and you can get thir contact info that way or their #s are listed in the support forums on the bottom of the site.

and sorry about the title. If it spun the bearings or locked solid, just get another good used engine to get you by until you are ready to do more.

Wrong thread old man ;) This one is asking about shops to work on a conquest. The busted 1G thread is probably where you thought you were. You need to start taking those memory pills to combat the "senior moments" like that. I know since my grandparents take them that they work.

Wrong thread old man ;) .Isn't calling me an old man about the same as calling Saddam Hussein a humanitarian, ya old fart. :p

p.s. Ya old fart, it's the same guy with a different car and they both need an engine swap :D . Now go take a Geritol. ;)
