Well I did what u said Jet, and finally it went back to normal temps and the radiator finally feels hot, I kept checking the radiator while running and it was cold as ice...now its hot and car isn't overheating or anything, but the heat still doesn't work. I just got back from the coldest drive ever...no heat and -20 outside, great stuff. Car runs fine and everything, its just that there is no heat anymore

Your coolant lines are still frozen up by the heater core. That may take a while to thaw out. Now while the car is still warm, get some straight anti-freeze in it! You don't want it to freeze hard, it will ruin your day!

Like JET said start pouring straight anti-freeze in at the thermostat housing an in the overflow tank.

well put antifreeze in the radiator, soo it should be good to go. Now I guess I just have to wait for the lines to the heater core to unthaw, which is gonna be a pain, because its not to warm out right now. Well I must say I learned my lesson, always put antifreeze in the car no matter what time of the year, totally forgot I had put just water in it during the summer. Thanks for all your help guys

You should go pick up a tester for like $3 just to make sure you get a nice 50/50 mix in there. Its always a good idea to have at least a little antifreeze in the system no matter what time of year it is since it helps lubricate the waterpump.

Tsi...now that things are flowing through the motor...do you have any major puddles under the car? If you had straight water in it with -20 temps I would think the block is cracked or freezeout plug is pushed.

No everything checked out alright...that was the first thing I looked for. I got lucky that it hadn't been sitting there for more than a day. I got it inside a warm garage, coolant is fixed and heater works. :D Lucky me
