You can click on my home page below for more info and pics of my set-up, fuel system and oil cooler installation. If anybody would like the fuel system or oil cooler mods put into the "Good Stuff" forum I could write it up. Just let me know.

Now, back to the driver's seat

-4 braided steel line from the AFPR to the return line

Seems small, but as long as you can set the pressure were you want, it doesn't matter.

Just get the break in done and go have some fun. It's at 630 miles now, the fun is already starting. Just finished callibrating the MafTranslator set-up to match my hacked 2g mas. I had one of my Fal cooling fans go out last night and am waiting for the new fan motor to arrive, should be here tomorrow.

BTW, for those of you (and you know who you are) that 1 year ago said I was wrong about having my engine run cooler than stock and that it would never work, YOU WERE ALL WRONG AND I WAS RIGHT. I am cruising on the highway at 163 deg steady. With DSMLink set-up to add 20-25 deg to what the ECU sees, and with my fans coming on when needed, I do not get over 189 deg sitting in traffic. BTW, did I mention I WAS RIGHT?

One thing that is not in the list is a wide-band O2 set-up. I'm currently looking at a couple of options. Anybody have any personnal experience with or recommend one?

The PLX ones are pretty decent, we have a few customers running them and they have a pretty quick sampling rate and not that expensive. One thing i was going to suggest to you with the expensive new engine and turbo is an oil accumulator. For less than $300 it is probably a pretty smart investment, not only in the event of a unpredicted pressure loss, but just so you can pre-lube it. We are suggesting that to anyone we build an engine for now.

wow, wish i had money!!I "had" money, but now it's all gone. In typical fashion, my driver's outside door handle popped off in my hands today. Gotta love it!

I have the OZ/techedge O2 sensor and I really like it. It is not very expensive and works well. At the time they were one of the only ones using the VW sensor, but now there are a bunch. It works great with my AEM.
