Snowboarding

Just wondering who's up for some boarding (and/or skiing) on friday. I was thinking around noon-ish.

Do you guys want to meet up at the hill or do you want to meet somewhere else like Shooters or some place that everyone else knows.

What do you guys think? I got the day off for friday so I figured I'd make the most out of it. Buckhill doesn't open up until thanksgiving. They are making snow like crazy right now. If anyone needs a place to crash out friday nite, we have room for a couple if you don't mind using the floor, couch or chair.

I am probably going to be in IA, but who knows. That and I have never done anything on the snow. Board, Ski, Sex, you get the point.

If anyone needs their skis or snowboard waxed before noon on friday, give me a call. If you want to come over in the morning we can get them ready for you. I have the equipment. If you want to bring your own wax, that would help. I've got a brick of snowboard wax that is perfect for these temps that we have right now.

I was thinking about making this 1pm instead. The rates are $25 for 1pm-6pm. Otherwise it's $30 for all day.

Anybody still interested? I know for a fact I WILL be there. I'm going to to be getting there sometime shortly after noon so I can check some things out. I'll be up by where you buy lift tickets around 1-ish.

I went up there a little early and started boarding for a while. The snow is great!!!! They've got a good base down. They only have a few runs open (the middle ones right now) but say that most will be open by the end of the weekend. I was boarding from 11:30 til 1:30. I forgot how tiring this is. I bought an all day pass so I'm going back there later to do some nite boarding.

At one point today the snowboarders out numbered the skiers 2:1!!!!! If anoyone is up for going up there tonite, I'm going up there later on. Not sure of a time yet. Call me or PM me if you're interested in going.

It was fun. I'm tired as hell right now and my shoulder is killing me. I caught the front of my board after I landed a jump and shot forward. My shoulder left about a 6" divet in the snow. I landed straight on it. I can't move it all around but it is very sore. I think it's only bruised but if it persists until tomorrow nite or gets worse, I'm going in for x-rays. After it happened I boarded for another hour so it can't be real bad. It's not broken but it could be slightly dislocated. It hurts to lift things.
