AJ and I have the shared plan through Verizon and it's usually about $80-$100 depending on if we've downloaded games or ringtones.

Keep in mind I've been with them for 4 years or so... Loyalty has it's bonus', especially when you threaten to leave the plan in more or less words...

Damn I wish we had more competition in NE Iowa. I'm on sharetalk with my mom, 1000 daytime, unlimited nights & weekends starting at 9, ~$65/month. That's with insurance on both phones also ($4.95/month/phone I believe). That's all through US Cellular.

Are you guys kidding??? GSM RULES!
OF COURSE I live in the city. GSM does suck for rural areas. TDMA and CDMA are a much safer choice for rural areas. It's just REALLY old technology. The quality of the calls, and amount of data you can transfer is far less than GSM. THUS every other country in the world other than the US and Mexico are on a GSM only network.

Wait till they get GAIT phones. These phones allow you to use GSM AND TDMA at the same time. You can also get Analog transcievers to "add on" if any of you remember the OLD school voicestream phones "Nokia 5190".

I agree GSM rules.

GSM is TDMA technology though. So when you say TDMA, you can be talking about the older(in the US) digital service or GSM.GSM has been around longer than either CDMA or US based TDMA(I can't think of the actual name) digital service, they were using GSM in Europe while we still had the crappy analog cell service here in the US.
