Either that or the ball and fork? When you run out of things to check it gets very annoying. I was in the same boat.

do you think that it could be the ball or the fork even if i had the problem in the old tranny. thats why i thought it was the flywheel step.

Well if you clutch fork is bent it would happen in both trannys. Are you sure the pedal is even moving the clutch fork? Have someone look under the car while you push the pedal. If it is not moving try adjusting the pedal hight adjustment screw/shaft (on the actual pedal under the dash). If the pedal is moving the clutch fork, make sure that the clutch fork isnt hitting the bell housing on the tranny case when the pedal is pushed all the way in. If it is your probably goin to need to pull the tranny and trying to shim out the pivot ball with a couple washers or so behind it. Now while you have the tranny out make sure the clutch fork isnt bent and the flywheel step is correct. Good luck and I hope it helps!
