Umm... no. Black/White shirt, Black/Khaki Pants. If your in sales, your shirts have to be collared. Thats it.

I'd say an oil change place is your best bet. I worked @ Valvoline when i was in High school and it pretty much sucked, the perks were nice though. I suggest working somewhere w/flexable hours so in summer you can go full time and then go back to part time during school.

Ya I remember when you worked at Valvoline. I worked right down the street from you at Jiffy Lube. I really liked the job. You got nice little perks, like free oil changes, use the garage after hours if you wanted to do something to your car. Flexible hours. Great co-workers. You could also get A/C certified for free if you wanted, but I left too soon to be able to do it, I had to go to this thing called boot camp.

When I worked there, I was 17-18. I started out just vacuuming the cars, putting the lil sticker in the window, checking tire pressure. Then eventually you'd start working under the car, doing everything down there. Then eventually I was working under the hood, talking to the customer, trying to sell them new air filters and what not if theirs were bad. I enjoyed it a lot.

Just the mention of Valvoline lube places makes my skin crawl. The one in Buffalo actually tore my air filter in the corner and brought it to me and told me it was broken and I needed a new one then and there and they had one for $30 for me. I told them it was inpossible for an air filter to tear becase it is clamped in place and that the area that was torn would be dirty and not squeaky clean like it was. He told me it happened all of the time and showed me the one that was out of the car next to me with the same corner ripped in two.

Valvoline in Buffalo = people who make a bad name for the rest.

Now for something on topic. Mall retail does suck but can pay well. I did a gig selling womens shoes (insert joke here) at Robinsons-May in Scottsdale evenings part time. My hourly average was close to $18 with exceptional weeks coming in at close to $30. I had a commission rip and we sold alot of shoes. I went in with a buddy who was filling out app before we went to lunch. We both got hired on the spot, but he got stuck in mens wear and only pulled down 11 something.
