So what kind of logo are you looking for? Vector so you can use it for vinyl signage as well, or something strictly image like for just web use and perhaps printed t-shirts? I'm just curious, I may be able to help since this is what I do.
If you actually read the thread, you will see what we are looking for.
Sweet, fresh blood. Actualy you hit the nail on the head for all of it. A sweet logo for the website basis like the one I had designed a while back. Something that will also work for shirts for our members if they want.
Also for vinyl is it is simple enough to be used for it or have some osrt of variation for a decal.
Sorry DSMchick, I don't have the patience to read the whole thread, the subject just caught my eye  ...anyhow, if you want to have variation (one for forums/shirts and one for decals) that is no problem, it would just need to be tweaked a bit. It depends on exactly what you're looking for. I see your current one has rendering of cars in it. Are you wanting something somewhat complex like that again (picture type) along with the dsmstyle.com text or are you looking for a straight up logo (such as text morphed into a shape, outline, shadow etc.) with the text? From there it will narrow down how you want it to look all around and use it in various ways.
Both ideas sound like I would want to see something of them done. This is where it gets a bti hard for me and I do like the current one, but I don't have much more for direction until I might have a chance to see a rough sample of a new idea.
I'll work on some examples perhaps and PM them to you within the next night or two. I don't like to post artwork on public boards until the product is finished. So if that's cool, let me know. In the meantime, think exactly what it is you'd like. A picture, a picture symbol/logo, just text layed out somehow, text layed out in a logo form and so on. Visualize it in your mind, if you can't visualize it, perhaps think about placement, what could go where. Best way to start out is think of colors. Think of at least two colors but no more than 3 or 4. Do you want it to match the current color theme of the board or do you want a "trademark" color for an all-around look to the club?
Mr 3: Next time you see this can you post up one of the designs you sent me and put the watermark in so the members can see it and give some feedback?
