Don't get too wound up. They have signed land agreements before, getting it approved by the public is the hard part. Most people don't want a drag strip in their back yard.

I agree. I want a new drag strip as much as the next guy, but I've been hearing these "good news" posts for the last five years. When I see some concrete being layed, then I'll get excited.

where were some of the locations they were thinking of putting the strip??
Close to the twin cities as in St Cloud, or close as in Plymouth?

That would be pretty sweet, half hour to 45 minute drive would be a helluva lot better than RF or BIR...
