So I decided to spend the weekend in the dirty south

Visiting my friend Katie in Knoxville.

I like it down here. Lots of nice cars. Plenty of Z cars, IS300's, Mustang Cobra's, Corvette's, and all the other nice RWD cars you couldn't drive half the year in MN.

It's a nice sunny 60 something down here, and I'm loving it. It looks a lot like MN down here, with trees and such.

Got to drive through Normal Ill, the wretched city responsible for this website, and all drivers on it. I plan on trying to stop at the plant on my way home, maybe get a sneak peek at the 4g...

Also be stopping at the Brickyard on the way home. Should be interesting. Everyone here makes fun of the way I talk....

Ya'll isn't even a real word. Whatever....

Just thought I'd drop a line.

PS, I haven't seen one DSM in TN yet...

I've been to Tennessee once too. Definitely does resemble MN at certain times of the year. Have fun man... girls named Katie rule. ;)

I drove to Knoxville last year. It is a lot like Minnesota except without the lakes and more hills. When you're west of Indianapolis look for Jeff Gordon Blvd. Bring me back one of the signs and I'll pay you for it. ;)

We stopped at Indianapolis motor speedway. that thing holds the population of Minneapolis at one time. Full Infield Golf Course, Hotel, Hospital, etc. TN was fun. The girls are great.

The Indy 500 has over 500,000 spectators around that track. It's not referred to as the greatest spectacle of auto racing in the world for nothing.

Last year the 3/S National Gathering was in Indianapolis. I took the Indy 500 tour. We got to get out of the bus and walk around on the track where the bricks are. Pretty cool. I never realized how big that place was until I was there.

Check out page 2 here: http://mn3s.org/NG2004/index.html for the Indy 500 pics.
