so this might seem like a dumb quesiton now but... how do you tell when your O2 sensor starts to go?
and all of you who have been running leaded gas.... you're still using the "stock" O2 sensors right? now a wideband?

I had my O2 sensor start to be affected by race fuel and once I put super unleaded back in and hammered on the car a few times, it went back to working normal again with no problems.

A bad o2 sensor can cause poor fuel mileage at cruise....other than that, nothing. A CEL will only occur when the o2 sensor goes dead (at least from my experience). It is really easy to tell when it starts to go bad just by watching a logger or an o2 voltage monitor.

so in other words... leaded gas ok.. just watch my O2 sensor?

BUT, you can not have a catlytic converter when using leaded gas, you must have a test-pipe.

Yea if you dont use leaded alot you shouldnt have a problem, you can just drain your gas if your going to do some runs at the track and then fill a few leaded gallons in. Then after your done fill it back up with unleaded and you should be fine. Driving on it like that shouldnt ruin your O2 for quite a while.
OT but whos in your avatar?
