I just got my 2 stage compressor from Matco and it needs 220v.
Anyone here good at home wiring? My junction box is already in the garage, I just need one 220v outlet.
If anyone is interested in helping out I would pay them in $$$/parts/etc.
I just don't want to burn the house down or fry myself.
Thankx,
-Brian-

Its really easy, all you need is a 2-pole breaker(probably about 30 amps depending on your compressor) and 3 conductor wire of the proper gauge for the length of the run.The rest is pretty much common sense

I already bout 25' of 8 gauge wire (red/black/green), a 2 pole breaker (30amp), 15ft of conduet(sp?), and an outlet box.

Inside the power box on the compressor there should be 2 terminals and a ground(usually a green screw/bolt).Each one of the terminals goes to one pole of the breaker, doesn't matter which one.The ground goes to the ground buss bar inside the breaker box(you should see white or bare ground wires coming out of the buss bar).
