Off to Mexico

Well, I just got an all expenses paid trip to Mexico. Yay. I leave in two weeks, and will probably get to stay for the weekend. Has anyone here ever been to Juarez? It's right across the border from El Paso Texas, that's where I'm going.

Oh, I forgot to mention, It's not a vacation, it's a business trip. I think there are more scenic places to visit, but I wont complain because I don't have to pay for it, and I will be getting paid the whole time I'm there. :)

Most cities in Mexico are complete holes... Except for the cities with beach resorts and tourist areas.

COngrats on the trip Mark, and yeah a coupel friends of mine from high school have been there and Hughes isn't kidding. It's not the best spot to be in, but none of my friends ever had any troubles. I am sure everything will be cool and you will have a fun time. I want a suvenier.

Yeah at least its warm :) Don't drink the water, or eat the food.....or kiss the girls. The street vendors do like bargaining though!

I might poke around the city durring the day, but probably wont be there at night. I've talked to people here at work that have been there, and they've pretty much said the same things. But yeah, at least it's warm. It better not be snowing when I get back.

I would stay in El Paso durring the evening and only spend as little time in Juarez as possible. It is a crappy border town that is well a dirty little boarder town. The hate Americans and will try to rob you.

I have seen some pretty F- up things down in Nogalas (Tusons Juares) and Tiawanna.
