So my car Idles a little bit high (1500 RPM) so I will need to adjust the BISS screw. But... it's surging at idle. No check engine light, nothing. But, the weird thing is... when I turn my lights on... it doesn't surge anymore!!!
What's the deal?

Lower the idle to around 750 and then see what happens. If it surges when its cold and then goes away mostly when hot, its your FIAV. If it does it all the time its your ICS. Id get rid a blockoff plate for the FIAV or I may have a bottom section for sale if you want it. I replaced my FIAV with a working one and have no idle surge. I also wouldnt need my ICS which works great but its almost brand new so... it wont be cheap ;)

or just buy a block off plate from qpr for like 25 bux. I believe it stops that problem. And my dad had that same problem as far as the lighting changing his idle... next problem to occur was the alternator went out heh..

Did you ever get around to fixing this problem? If so, how did ya go about doing it?

It's his BISS screw, guaranteed. It was adjusted when it was cold at QPR, and needs to be toned down a bit.

We need to adjust that and double check his timing when he brings it up and it is at operating temp. When is he bringing it back up BTW?

As soon as he gets that exhaust manifold, I imagine. He's still waiting on his exhaust from RNR, but Jayme's definitely gonna want to get all his stuff ported once that is in.
