I have a friend from school who drives a 95 (I think) Maxima GLE. She runs 15.4 at the best with her car stock, but she bought a ZEX wet system for her car and ran 75 shots. I dont really know if she ever ran her car, but she said she did and that she ran a time of 13.7? I knew NOS was a power source, but would it really make you run 2 seconds quicker? It was hard for me to believe her, because I'd bet her without NOS but I would lose if she used NOS. For all of you experienced NOS users, does it really make you that much quicker? I dont believe her so far, but I could be wrong.

going from 15 seconds to 14 (13.7) Seconds doesn't take much... And yes that's possible with a 75 shot.

Randy from Xrated went 14.1@103 with a 75 Shot on his H22 4 door Accord.

He sold the Zex kit and went 14B Turbo set up and went 15.1@95mph. (but the whole kit was only $500 and ghetto put together)

NOS does more on a stock vehicle than it does on a highly modified vehicle, so it could happen. :3gears:

NOS is a company, you should say N2o. On a NA car its fine, but on a turbo car I would think twice about using it, ever. NAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWZZZZZZZZ, dam fnf.

That is right about on. It would take about 70whp to make a car of that weight go from a 15.4 to a 13.7. As you get quicker and quicker though, it takes a lot more power to pull a few tenths or make the trap speed go up a few mph.

that is weird because my buddy had a 95 GXE with a fresh rebuild and he only ran 16.2 and he is a damn good driver on a 75 degree day. that is not stock .... but that is beside the point it takes on average 100 shot of N2O per second per 3000 LBS. from her real time of 16.4 at most to get to the unbelivable time of 13.7 it would take some where in the neighborhood of a 150 to 175 shot of N2O to get there.

So then I guess she wasnt lying. Good thing I didnt tell her I didnt believe her...haha. Thats weird, my cousin once had "lauging gas" in his civic hatch, back then and it was all stock, but it wasnt quick. There's something new I just learned about "N2O"...its not a bad idea for a NA stock car. Now I cant say that I could beat her, because she's gotten a better time than I've gotten. So much for wanting to have the quickest car at school... :headache: . Oh well..I still have all winter to get up there...
Oh wait...so if my friend with a 99-00 Cavalier Z28 gets a 75 shot for his car, then he should be able to beat me as I am right now, then he'll have the quickest car at school? Especially with a small car like his. I need to get working on my car this winter...first, I'll have to have my tranny checked. Its making a weird sound when I let off the clutch while I'm parked.

seriously though...the cars stock 1/4mile time (as quoted by my motor trend motor mayhem racer review) the 95's time with a PROFESSIONAL driver on stock tires is 15.77. there is NO chance she hit that stock...unless of corse she was using drag radials or slicks...very doubtful...she's pullin' your leg

some of those later maximas with the 190 hp quad cam can pull 15.1s bone stock. i let my buddy take my bone stock 1985 maxima (227k on her) to slippery falls like 2 yrs ago and he busted four 16.2s in a row.

finchy, your buddys car is teh suck!!
