Senario 1:
Way back when I was first looking into getting into DSM's I went to Metro Mitsu and wanted to trade my 98 LXI in for a 98 GSX.
My car had 22K miles on it and the wanted to give me say like 10 grand for it. (new was $22,525)
anyrated back to the GSX... was posted as a 98 in the window, etc... went to set the paper work done. and what's listed on the paper? 1997
I showed them the error and they said oh ya.. it's a 1997, it's a misprint out there.
so I asked so does that drop the cost of the car since it's a 97 not a 98. They said it doesn't matter won't effect price.
I said well if my car was a 97 not a 98 and I tried to sell the price I could get for it would be different. And walked out.
Scenario 2:
When I bought my 98 Sebring LXI from the now Cadilac dealership in Apple Valley (was chrysler back then) The car was listed as Brand NEW.....
Car had something like 1500 miles on it, etc..
Anyrate when we signed the paper work.. they put down the car only have 350 miles on it. I said the milage was off and they oh that's a typo. I'll fix it breaks out the white out on the master copy and manually writes in 1500 miles. (I noticed he was being careful not to let it go through onto his copy)
