Just Got Back From Florida!

Hehe, anyways, I just got back from 5 days of fun!!!
Got to go to Universal Studios Orlando all expenses paid! Oh... brought back some goodies too!!! :cool:
Won a trip through work, and when I got there, they handed me $200 cash, a 5.0 megapixel digital cam, 7" widescreen DVD player, and a slip stating that my $500 Personal Entertainment Device is on the way *shrug* (guess these are replacing the PDA's) Anyways, got free 5 day pass to Universal studios, and islands of adventure, with the "Express" bump the line pass. W00t! and Haloween Horror night passes. They closed the park just for best buy on thurs night and gave away some goodies! Like say... a 13k$ Plasma TV, few other HD and LCD tvs, Washers, dryers, fridges with TVs in them, home stereos. I unfortunatly didnt win any of that.
Friday I was at a vendor show all day, walked out with TONS UPON TONS of free crap, un released DVDs (Open water, day after tomorrow, etc) CDs, PC games, PS2 Games, GBA game, shirts, optical mouses, wired mice, just too much to fit all in my samsonite dufflebag they give ya before the show.
Friday night got to see John Mayer at the Hard Rock, and gave away a Lemans Edition Z06 Vette, $6800 dirt bike, $10k Cash, more Tvs, and crap, again I walked home empty but had a blast!
Sat got up early and went to biz meeting, learned alot, had fun, and walked away with a Gateway Computer with Mediacenter XP loaded on it, and JBL Creature computer speaker system. W00t!
Sat and sunday went to the parks, walked a crapload and had fun!
Sunday night had an award banquet with fancy 3 course meal where the servers put the napkin ON your lap for you.. crazy shit i tell ya! LOL.
What a weekend! Cant wait to go back again in the spring!
Id like to thank Best Buy and all the Vendors who shelled out over 5 mill for this event! :cool:

Yeah, BB rocks. Did you see a camera crew named Tag Team there? My dad does the sound for video's for all their events. He usually gets a bag of free shwag too. I think he has gotten a 3mp camera and a MD video camera and a bunch of other shit.

He also taped the recent one where Ted Nugent was their speaker.

Best Buy knows how to treat their employee's.

Ya, Tag TV was there, like always!
This event was HUGE! 1400+ people, all taken care of.
Dunno if you know who Adam is for Tag TV, hes basicly the "spokesperson" for BBY. He got suckerpunched on City Walk pretty bad friday night, but was back rockin the show sunday night.
Great time, dont wanna miss another one of these! I was told once you go, you will do whatever you can to make it to another!

My brother in law works for best buy, and he is always telling me about the concerts they have in town for employees and their spouses, and it is always pretty big name bands, like they had Barenaked ladies a few months ago.

Its funny how everyone who is higher up gets treated like royalty, but all my friends who actually work in the stores get treated like shit.

No one gets treated like shit IMO.
Its what you make of it. All day I hear people complain, but these are the same people you can never please, and have an easier job that pays much better then flipping burgers... And with a discount.

Gotta go through the ranks. Ive busted my ass for 6 years in the same department same store, and I see where you can go in this company.
Id like to be part of that. For the others that are in it just for the paycheck and discount, so be it. Dont bitch when the hard working people who want to make a career out ot it get rewarded.

This isnt directed at anyone, I see what you are saying. I see it every day. Yes the higher ups get treated well, and more often then not, they deserve it, and are worth it.

Cant wait to go back in april!
