Looks like a nice car. The direct injection part is what intrigues me the most though. Audi's new 2.0 turbo in the A3 will have direct injection. They say it will have 10.5/1 compression with a turbo (I forget the actual number, but it was over 10.0). Some how with the fuel injected directly into the cylinder, it allowed them to control detonation, and run such a high compression. I wish they had more info/specs on the MazdaSpeed 6, but it looks like a pretty decent car.

Mitsu had been doing GDI (gasoline direct injection) for a while. I used it in one of my high school papers.

acutally i was just reading an article about direct injection basically the gas and air is injected separatly into the combustion chamber, instead of it being mixed?

simply put......the fuel injector fires directly into the cylinder, not before the intake valves like our rides
