If I was to have someone else remove my balance shaft from a '92 4G63 6 bolt block, could I just bring them the front cover with the balance shaft attatched? Or would they need the whole block too?

Front balance shaft is attached to a gear and runs on a balance shaft belt, rear shaft is part of the oil pump housing, driven off the timing belt.
Neither are attached to the block directly.

They would need the block too if they were going to spin or replace the bearings to block the oil holes, unless you are going to do that yourself.

We drill tap and plug the bearing oiling holes in the block so we would want the block as well. I doubt anyone else would. Most places just spin the bearings.
