What A Lost!

I was at my friends house in Little Canada just hanging out, then like at 11:20 p.m. I left to go back home in St. Paul. So I was driving on 35w going back home and I see this car catching up to me slowly. I thought it was a GTP for a second, until it got closer. Then I realized that it was a Mustang. I was getting excited, because I havent had a race on the highway in a while. So the Mustang pulls next to me and I see the Cobra sign. I've been wanting to race one just for the hell of it, so I put it into 3rd and go. I'm like half car ahead, when I hear the guy floor it and all I hear is the rumble and the supercharger. Then in no time, the Mustang was ahead of me by like 1/2 a block and I was still in third gear. Yeah, so I gave up right then and caught back up to him and told him he had a nice car. I never knew that those SVT Cobras were so damn quick, makes me think twice about wanting to race corvettes just for the hell of it. Atleast I know where I stand now. I've got quite a ways to go! I like racing V8's, even though I'm not that quick, but its fun when you beat some of them (the slower ones) with a 4 cylinder. But I still like those muscle V8s, they're so awesome. So far, I'm the only person at my school with an import that can stand a chance against those Camaros and Mustangs that go to my school.

There's this Junior at my school who owns a Cobra. I was hoping to have the quickest car at school this year, too....bummer!

I havent had one good race with a GT yet, so I dont know if they're easy or not. The closest one I've had was against my co-worker. He floored it and I just floored it in 5th gear for about 3 seconds and then I went into third. That was kinda late then, so he won thinking I actually tried.

One of the local DSM guys has an '03 Cobra with a few mods, it dynos 450 whp on pump gas. I went for a ride in it and was very impressed, we'll be doing a little comparo once I get around to replacing my clutch. :3gears:

Whats all done on your car? I'm guessing that since you're going to go up against that cobra, you're loaded with stuff. The Cobras sound really nice with the supercharger and all, doesnt it? One of these days when my uncle comes back down to visit us, I'll take his car down to University and have me some fun. He's got an '04 GTO...I love that car so much. Makes my car feel like a slow civic after driving his.

Oh yeah, I just found out that the guy with the Cobra at my school doesnt really have a Cobra. Its just a GT with all the Cobra badges....got me fooled along with everyone else at school.

He said that he's saving money for a supercharger which is going to cost like $3000. So I'm guessing that he's getting car ready for when it becomes like a Cobra...
