Never have.. a stick works dandy because Im not paying 40 bucks for those shitty things.

try a junk yard and that might help a little bit to at least help hold it up better even if you do need to use a stick.

That's what the vice grips in my trunk are for....I kept knocking over the stick I used before and closing the hatch on myself :headache:

Mine work because I spent the $40 to fix them. All I have to do is start to lift the hatch and it goes up by itself.

I used the stick too until I fixed them. I used to use vise grips on my CRX until i almost broke my arm when the visegrips popped off and the hatch fell.

Another trick is to extend the arms all the way and then put a SLIGHT bend in it. Just pull the center of the arm towards you to put a small bend in it. Then when you want to close it just push the arm forward in the center while lowering the hatch.

oops, I voted no and mine do work. They didn't until I got a set off a jucker at hennipen tech last year. I got both (aftermarket shocks) for $1. Definitly the best dollar I have spent on my car.
