Well I was talking to mike at QPR about this and well I cant seem to find any info on it so how do I wire in this potentiamitor(spelling?) to controll the ohm's to fool the comp to advance timing...? just wondering anyone know or know of a link to help me out?

Pointless.Your ECU will pull one degree if your coolant temps are between 206F and 224F.And will pull 2 degrees is your coolant temps are above 224F.So you can't fool the ECU into advancing timing, only stop it from retarding at max 2 degrees, and thats only if you are running greater than 224F.If you think it will help, just put like a 100-300 ohm 1/4 watt resistor inline with the CTS wire, and your CTS will read lower than actual, as well as never read above 176F-206F(depending on the resistor used).

just advance the base timing, that will get you more for sure.

yeah thats the whole point is to lead it to believe that its running cooler when in all accuallity its not any different then the normal running temp. so it should run a few more degrees of timing.... I think that im going to just run some more base timing but....does anyone have some sugestions on what to run? instead of the 5 degrees run like what? 8-10?

just turn it up untill you get knock. But 8-10 would a good place to start.

Why woudl you want to trick it? If it is running hot then you don't want more timing. Running hot and too much timing leads to detonation. If your running on pump gas, then run a base of 5 or less, so that you can run some decent boost.

yeah thats what im at now. but what should I do when im on 110 or some c116? any idea with out being on the dyno?

Run a stock base of 5 degrees until you run out of boost. Then start adding some base timing. Boost is going to make more power than timing, might as well add more boost before timing.
