Well I started my car this morning for the first time in a long time and the temp gauge doesnt work. I am guessing that I plugged somthing in incorrectly. There was one small plug that plugs into the thermostat housing. Its the small rubber plug that is right next to the block. I think thats the one I plugged in incorrectly. Would that make sense?

If not, anyone have any ideas as to why the gague would no longer work. The gauge worked fine the last time I ran the car.

the plug that runs the temp gauge is the smallest connector on the entire thermostat housing. It's a single wire with a female connector thing on it, and it plugs into a male prong thing that is sticking out. Hope that makes sense, it prolly just came unplugged. I've had mine fall off a few times.

Here's a pic of it, kinda hard to see but hopefully helps.

Thanks, I will go fiddle some more. I think the one in your pic is the double prong plug though.

Those wires have a tendancy to become brittle and corrode.Sometimes only the copper will corrode, and lose connection, but the insulation jacket is still intact, so the wire looks good, but it won't make a connection. If everything is connected properly, and you still have a problem, just cut off the connectors and crimp new spade terminals on there.

Yeah, I am quoting myself. I corrected me612 and my correction was based on me plugging shit in wrong. LOL. I went out and looked at it, I had the single prong in the double and visa versa. Thats what I get when I connect stuff after about 9 hours worth of working on that damn thing. Runs well now though. Thanks for all the help guys!
