Well I've got a 2G MAS and 2G exhaust manifold to put on but my first priority is to figure out the oil burning problem. I'm hoping to address that in the fairly near future. The car has a build date of August 1991 so I'm assuming that it is the 6/4 combo without checking futher. I'd like to get ahold of a late 1G head to rebuild for future use sometime too along with having my valve cover powdercoated Honda Electric Blue.

i picked my gst up for a grand...on a total whim...stack of reciepts sky high as well.
It was the dumbest thing I have ever done but at the time I needed a car that drove..I have had endless minor things break and I have spent endless time underneath the car. Now I bought Hughes' shell in hopes of just doing it once for a all and owning something nicer than a thousand dollar beater. My suggestion is even tho that car may run and run quick,it obviously may be problematic, if you want a nice dsm just go buy one for 3-4k thats in incredible shape. Cause now after 9 months ago of initially jumping out of lsvtec land I have spent sooo god damn much money on my dsm addiction. So this is the newbie opinion, I have no idea where your at on your dsm fix cause i dont know you but seriously just buy something nice, baby it..and take it from there. Good luck.

I'm happy with what I purchased. It was cheap, AWD, clean title, and a fairly uncommon car (6/4 Laser). I have no intentions on using it for a full time daily driver. I have my 2000 S-10 and only when I sell that will I be using the Laser as a daily driver until I purchase a different truck. I purchased this car fully knowing that is needs work and is a project car but that is what I wanted. Just because a car looks good and costs three to four thousand or whatever price does not mean it is going to be a trouble-free vehicle, I don't care what anyone says.
