View Full Version : Rock Falls - Aug 1st Sport Compact Day
my t28 run was on drags... and i never made a pull really because the clutch was slipping like crazy. i barely puled it up on the trailer...
the pull before the drag radials was on 205 55 crapy RSA tires that i did a big 1 2 3 burnout and actually got my best 2.3 60 foot times.. but spun the rest of 2nd and 3rd gear and got 14.0 @ 107 ... :(
that was last year, this year i haven't made it out ONCE due to the trany issues..

Did Jet make it there? Low 11's?
Nope, I was a little late. I got the car started at 6:45 (after working on it all night), but there was a massive oil leak. That is now fixed and I have an hours worth of work to put the T-belt cover bolts and pulley's back on. It sounds good though! I am going to try and get it on the dyno this weekend if there is any free space.
Great job guys, I wish I could have been there!! I can't wait for the SO, we should have a good showing of force there!

I saw that accord there also. I gotta admit, that accord was pretty for an accord of that kind. It didnt look all that bad either, but 20k! I dont think it was worth it..IMO.
I was there also, I wasnt planning on going until the last Rock Falls day but my cousin called Sat. morning and I just happened to have Sun. off so I went. Tested out my new clutch, but that didnt turn out too happy. I bogged at launch from trying to dump the clutch and I ran a 14.9 :censored: ...then a 15.2. I ran those times TWICE. It just so happened that I went for the 14.5 class hoping to atleast hit 14.7 or something and I broke out. So my best time on sun. was a crappy ol' 14.4. I'm still a little pissed off about that time, but I wasnt prepared.
I felt so slow compared to the rest of you guys...running high 13's and 11's and I'm there running close to stock times. :headache:

so what did everyone else run?
The GFs stocker did a 14.10 with a 1.8 60ft. Not too shabby for a nearly bone stock 2G 7-bolt AWD w/150,000miles. All she has on it is a K&N and 3" Turbo back......no boost control, BOV, instruments, or nothin'.
So are all dsmers stuck-up at the track or what? I had a whole box of BPR7ES in my tow rig. No one asked me or mentioned anything about plugs. Do i look like an ass or seem standoff-ish?
I talked to Cher, borrowed tools from Nash and helped another 2G AWD launch correctly. Just because I just moved here and my Modified 2G does not run doesn't mean i don't know anything or I don't go to the track prepared(minus a #2 Philips....thanks again Nash).
I had a blast.........I hope to see more of you out there next time.

Next time I hope I'll be able to make it.
Summers counting down and I have yet to run my damn car. 1 thing right after another. :headache:

You're frustrated? It only gets worse. I should have stayed with my S20G AFC set-up. I have yet to run my car for two years! I'm shooting for next spring.
1 thing after another is just the begining.
Good luck..........-Matt
Yeah, my car didn't hit hte track last year, I am hoping it will made a pass this year. I was set to go last year on the last RF day but a mechanic decided that he would de-tune my car the night before the track.
