I was just wondering if any EBC is worthwhile looking at, I was looking at dual solenoid MBCs and they are pretty pricey, you can get a blitz EBC on ebay for around 250.. Just wondering if I should forget about it or look in to it more.

Is a dual-stage boost controller an important thing for you to have? Personally, I never saw the need. If you are getting too much boost in the lower gears just bend your knee a bit.

electronic boost controllers are nice but i also never see the need to have one. i set my boost controller to one setting and i never change it. if i wanna run more boost, i do what chris says, let my knee bend a little. personally, i'm NOT a fan of having ten billion electronics in the car
been debating this myself as I can get great money ($250ish) from what I've seen for an old-style profec-b. Day to day I run the same boost. I don't see myself needing to turn it up unless I'm running race gas, so I don't really need the High/Low switch of the EBC which is really the only benefit.

I have Dejon Tool's High/Low dual MBC and I like it a lot. I have it set at 17 and 27, and all I have to do is hit my old Economy/Power switch from the Auto Trans and let her buck. Nice for daily driving and then going to track so I don't have to waste fuel trying to get to my desired boost level.

I like my AVC-D. I have boost settings for 3000, 5000 and 7000 rpm ranges. It also has Scramble boost (setting for a predetermined amount of time) and Speed boost (setting for over a certain speed). It's a good one for FWD drag cars. I got it cheap and have been having fun with it. Looks identical to a old style 5-knob AFC just has different colors. Granted I could do without it, but it is fun to toy around with it. And like I said, I got it at a good price.
