Just wondering what people wanted to see for events next year. I figured I would get this going now so we could get some input as to what our fellow members want to do so we can get some plans in the works.

I know there will be BBQ's and such but what I'm thinking of is things that we can as a whole club.

Some ideas I had were:

1. A picnic this spring to get the season started right. Go to that park off of Hwy 10 just before you go over to Prescott, WI. We could get a photo of all the cars together and individually. Get pics of the owners of each car with their car. BBQ of course, and have a small contest for cleanest car, or dirtiest car or whatever. Kinda what some of the other clubs around the area do each year.

2. Maybe get a DSMStyle football game going every saturday or every other saturday (or sunday or what ever) at a certain park somewhere.

3. End of the season get-together (before it gets as cold as it is now) to close out the summer season. Kinda the same deal as number 1. Except for contests we could have the award for the most changed car, best timeslip of the year, best improvement in their racing field (drag, rallycross, etc.) and so on.

As far as what happened last year where people were backing out of things left and right, I was thinking we could have some people set aside that would organize each event. It could be the same people each time or different people each time. And of course they would take suggestions from the rest of the members to make each event the best it can be. I have no problem throwing my hat in the ring to help organize some of these events.

Now it's your turn, what's on your mind???????? These events could be Official DSMStyle events or not. It doesn't matter to me either way. I'd just like to see some events to bring our members closer together.

Thank you

Good idea Erik. We need to get some things planned in advance so no one has an excuse as to not being able to attend, myself included. :)

I will give input later, but like your ideas already.

Does anyone ski/snowboard? I know us winter freaks would love to get together and hit up Afton, Welch or Spirit Mountain this winter.

One thing I want to do this winter is a Snow Mobile Trip for the members to go on togehter some Saturday and find a place to rent snow mobiles within a 2 hour dirve.

As for next year I want to set up another DSM only Dyno Day at Elite depending on Mo and Crews schedule, plus 1 or 2 club specific events including the popker run which will be held in the early sping/summer.

I definately like the snowboarding idea. I need to dust mine off and use it this year.

Snowmobiling sounds cool!! I am also game for a dynofest again. I am hoping to have it together my early May. I have a lot of fabrication to do, especially with the fuel system. I am still trying to work out how I can get it to work.

I know a place in hinckley called Traxx Motorsports rents snowmobiles. Not sure how much it would be but that is whitin a hour of the city and there is tons of trails up there.

There are tons of places to rent snowmobiles, but we need some damn snow first. I already have my own sled ( 1999 MXZ700). So whenever we get some snow if ever I will be in definetly.
