Hey guys,
I'm trying to get the A/C working in my 1G. It's worked fine since I got
the car (2 years ago). Summer's been pretty cool up until a week or so
ago, so I haven't been really motivated to fix it, but I use my dsm for
work a lot & wanna get it cooling again.
I've replaced the condenser and drier, and the compressor seems to work
properly. But no cooling. On the low pressure side of the system, there's
0 pressure. It's like there's something blocked after the condenser. I
thought it was the drier, but when I took my car apart to replace it there
was pressure on the 'out' side of it...I ended up replacing it anyway to
be sure. Still no luck.
So, I'm thinking it's either the expansion valve or something in the
evaporator core. I've checked all of the piping around the condenser,
compressor, and running back to the firewall. I'm not super exicited
about taking the whole f*king dash apart to replace the expansion valve,
or even the whole core. Anyone have any suggestions?
