I'm So Happy!

1993 eagle talon tsi. Turbo was in ok condition and when I floored it the boost only reached about 10 psi. I only got it to 4.5K though. 130,000 nothing major replace. No oil leaks and it runs. Paint is faded and there are minor dents hear and there. I talked the guy down to selling it to me for $500. I am so happy I can't see straight. The only major problem I could tell was a little smoke out of the exhaust but I plan on this to be my project car. Does anyone know what the smoke could be. I was thinking the engine could use a rebuild and that was it but I don't know. If it helps I think the color of the smoke was blue. :jammin:

Was the car sitting for a long time like two year? my talon had some blue smoke,
(oil) but its gone now.

I found that it has an idle problem. When i start it it tries to die till i rev it. I have to keep it reved so it won't die. Well I finaly got it to 5k and realy felt the turbo but not it is parked. The car was parked for a year then the guy I bought it from drove it for two weeks then sold it to me. The lights on it don't work at all. Non of them. Tommorow I might get the camera and take some pics.

Where so I start to make mods. if I want it to be a daily driver but campable of low 13's maybe high 12's?

Is it FWD or AWD? If FWD, it's gonna take a decent amount of dough to see some 12s... Especially if it needs some work. I recommend getting it to run correctly before you begin modding. Way ta go and good luck.

It is AWD. How do I switch the Intake to an open air flow such as k&n. I was thinking remove the plastic cover adn just switch the filters.

Make it run right, modding a car that doesn't run right is pointless.

Ya, why mod it if it isn't even campable of idling right? Isn't that an important factor of a daily driver?
