So, i was changing my oil, yadda yadda yadda, i stripped the shit out of my oil filter screwer on-er thing. The piece where the oil filter goes on, now an appropriate seal cannot be achieved, so i am wondering what is necessary and how hard it is to fix this.

Bahaha! (Assuming that is directed toward Rick...)

Fievel, are the threads on the oil filter housing stripped or what?

Not knowing what you drive, I will say this. If the housing and/or threads can not be repaired you will need to replace the oil filter housing. It's not that hard to do.

If you need one, I have a new one in the box for sale (fits the 4g63). It was bolted to my engine during assembly and taken back off for another version that allows for an oil cooler. Oil was never run through it.

He drives a dsm, and what he stripped on the 91+ dsms is a big bolt. 24mm head size and holds the oilcooler on and what not. I have one for sale.

Don't feel so bad. There's a guy I used to work with who was told to spray down his brake rotors with WD-40 because they were rusty. The guy believed him.

Long story short, he couldn't stop his car, and he ended up replacing the rotors and pads.

Yeah, i've taken down my transmission 4 times in a row to figure out why my clutch won't disengage, but i didn't break anything...

And how the hell you do that anyway? I change oil for one of my jobs and haven't even heard of that.
