I made the mistake of "buying the saddle before the horse". I bought two Evo 8 Cam gears for a 1g motor with the assumption that they'd fit since both engines are 4g63. Honestly, I don't know for sure if they'll fit. I got them for $42.00.
My question is, will they bolt to my cam shafts and fit to my timing belt?
Thank you. bigbrothajake

Well, they really won't work as they sit they could be modified to possibly work but it would require drilling another dowel pin hole 90 degrees off of the EVO dowel pin hole and possibly ignoring the advance/retard indicators if the EVO motor happens to spin the opposite way of the DSM.
I would just sell them and not buy a replacement set for your motor. They do next to nothing, unless your trying to put a 4G63 head on a 2.4 block and don't want to buy Galant cam gears or remark your stockers.

Thanks for the information. No more guesswork- *sigh* back to ebay.

I hate to ask but what is the year of 1g cams you have?

I bought these because I thought they'd offer better performance than the 1g cams
