Dealer Part, Or Just Bad Luck?

Is the DRIVERS side tranny axle seal a dealer part?

I got the passenger side from NAPA and it fit no problem, the stock drivers side had a copper casing and an outer lip. The replacement part is to big, even the stock passenger seal doesn't fit in the drivers side. Tripple checked the parts #s w/NAPA and supposedly their the same. Went to Bumper to bumper and they pull out the exact same part NAPA sells. Its also Saturday night, hence I have not called the dealership.

And while I'm at it, is the transfer case out put seal a dealer part too?

fwd or awd?

I know once i went to the dealer and got a coper lined gasket that didn't fit anything on my fwd trany, maybe thats the one you need, i have't used it and i still have it in the bagie.

Other than that, seals i would suggest only getting them from the dealer...

Sorry. 6bolt, 5spd, AWD. And I specified that too when at the parts store, even checked different years, computer just points to the same part.

I'm guessing they're mixing it up with a FWD tranny seal, or you've got some funky JDM tranny in your car. Get the seal from Satan.
