So I've been thinking about this project for awhile, and finally got started.

I am building a pedal car/wagon project to pull Norah around in. I found the startings of my project this past week at a swap meet. its a 1960's Murray V-front pedal car.

I am going to build a tube frame for it and steering assembly so that I can pull it around like a wagon. I'll pull the pedal parts out and save them for when she is bigger. It will hopefully turn out to be a cool little toy.

I did some drawing in solidworks this week to see what my frame should look like.

I also found wheels that I'm gonna try, they are off and old person's walker. Its really hard to find wheels that size that are narrow enough.

That'd be cool. I was originally going to use go kart wheels/tires, but I don't much more than 1.5" in the back for tires, I already have to make wheel wells into the seat pan so I can lower it. Any wider there wouldn't be much left of the seat :(.

So i have been picking at this over the summer, in hopes of using it at the Oct Cars and Coffee. Well I have it done in time, but now it is supposed to rain...

So I welded up the frame (not the best welder, but I don't do it often). Primed and painted the frame.

My father in-law collects signs, and gave me an older "crappy" one to use as the floor pan. I had my coworkers dad bend it up for me.

I found a seat from a Audi R8 Powerwheels for cheap and it fit perfect!
