So I've done some research, seen alot of banter and not much fact on why you should or should not use Iridiums in a DSM.

The facts I know, Iridiums take less voltage to spark than an copper plug, all other elements equal. Iridiums are also 4x more expensive.

I would think in situations where misfiring becomes an issue, Iridium's might extend the conditions the factory coils would work in.

What I don't know is any side effects in a DSM to using them, other than cost. I am not expecting them to be some 100k mile plug in there. Just don't want misfire issues.

Can't speak with experience on DSM's, but I converted from Copper's to Iridium's in the SC several years back and they've been great for me so far at the 500-600hp level.

Iridium plugs work great in Evos, I don't see why a DSM would be any different. 60k mile intervals are the standard for iridium plugs in boosted applications so you can't complain about that either. Rockauto always seems to have mail-in-rebates on ACDelco and Autolite plugs making them dirt cheap.

I would believe iridium will work just fine in a dsm, I just went with the one shade colder standard ngk plug. Part number I believe is bpr7es because I assumed they will get replaced more often then regular mileage. I suppose it just depends on what you want to pay.
