Haha, it is kinda fun for sure. Truth is I just don't have time for it. I do have some new designs in mind, but nothing really that major. Just some TT spark plug covers, and potentially a big brake booster / firewall cover plate. If anyone has anything they want made, I can always give it a crack

So I started a 'file sharing' thread over on the Lexus forums. It's been mostly just me posting up some of the things other than the cooling plate design I sold. Today someone else actually posted up their Solidworks file of a gauge mount for under the stereo. Theses cars are double din, but if you switch to a single din then you can put this under and fit two gauges!

I'm only going to be running 1 gauge now, so I played around and lunch and tweaked his design so it looks like this, with a cubby hole in place of the 2nd gauge hole. And some embossed lettering for the gauge. Kinda cool that more people are sharing now, hope it catches on!

Then you basically just find yourself a 3D printing guy on CL or something, hand em the file, and bam you got yourself a part!

Mark, you asked where the market is going. Just seeing this right here, shit I think if stuff like this started coming out then 3D printing of stuff like this for the aftermarket car world is probably still in the infancy stage. I could see in 5 years people doing things like this regularly. Talk about a potentially professional thing, being able to label gauges or whatever with a factory embossed look. Very cool potential there I think!

My dad has two 3d printers that can use ABS or PLA. I can probably get something made if you want. It's amazing how detailed these things get, he can print bolts and nuts that thread together, or a ball bearing assembly, etc.

So here is my mostly finished design. Just shot it off to Rosey to see if he can print it. If not, I'll have to start looking elsewhere. But basically radio up top. Then my single 52mm CAN-Bus gauge in the center (with a slight recess so it sits a little more flush looking). Then two AEM 12-position rotary switches on either side of it (again with a small recess for the circle plate that comes with them). One switch will be for adjustable boost control, and the other for adjustable traction control.
