Sounds like you guys are really close with your car, Paul! Bummer about the alternator of all the dorky things.

We're one of the cheaper WRL teams out there with our GP3 Tiburon at $600 a seat all-inclusive (including motel room, tires, race and hauler fuel), as we are trying to make it very accessible rather than outright competing at this stage of things. That being said, you are going to be substantially money ahead renting a seat for your first few races, even at 1k a race to see if you like it vs forking over the cost of developing a car for endurance.

If you have not done wheel to wheel racing before, Chump Car World Series (http://www.chumpcar.com/rules.php) probably makes the most sense as the series caters towards introducing new teams and drivers to endurance racing.

I don't know if I've ever seen that before. Did the wheel bounce around the housing before it split?

Sorry I mean please let me buy your turbo and then lowball you because I got lost.

On topic, you might need a new turbo.

I think you've got the wrong guy, Aaron.

Steve: hard to say, the wheels are all banged up but looks like a more instant catastrophic failure than slow grinding of the wheel. The two halves were jammed in there so hard I had to hammer them out.

I'm thinking it is more a function of past abuse than side effects from our car. Thinking it was on a car with excessively high EGTs, which baked the wheel to a point of being very brittle, and the racing stresses were a bit more than it could handle. I really hate having to use old questionable parts, seems to always leave you guessing.

That happened to mine, however the nut just came loose on the compressor wheel and yeah without the turbo it had no power
