2018 spring? Or did you mean this fall? You going to the one in two weeks?

Block won't be done until the beginning of July :( so possibly this fall one we will see how the tuning process goes.

Coolant reservoir done. Still debating on if I want to dump the catch can to atmosphere or if I want to add a Venturi tube/ hose to the exhaust to help with suction.

If that's the route you want to go, Vibrant makes a kit.

Otherwise, I'd go to the intake/turbo inlet if it's a baffled or filtered catch can.

Catch can is baffled.. I know a few people who have gotten the vibrant one and I have made the conclusion that they don't put it at a big enough angle so it doesn't create much of a vacuum effect. I don't have an intake yet and not sure if I will have one made by this fall, that and I'm not to fond of going back to the intake pre-turbo. Even the thought of going to the exhaust scares me a little bit with fuel vapors.

With a properly baffled catch can you shouldn't have any issues at all going before the turbo. I'd much rather pull a vacuum on the can than just venting. There's a reason why lots of the big V8 drag racers run crank driven vacuum pumps to their valve covers. :)

Not sure how well the baffles will work. I am going to be upgrading to -10an fittings on the next can I make with -10's on the front of the valve cover. By then I should have an intake setup made and will probably run it to that.

Finally heard back from the machine shop and the block is said to be done this week! I can not wait much longer now knowing it's getting close! Hoping to put it together and get a good base tune on it in time for the cookout.

Machine shop called back and unfortunately had more bad news.
My brand new MAP Howard rods don't fit into the Wiseco pistons because the pin bosses are too wide. How does this happen?!? Anyways I will be contacting MAP before anyone else gets screwed.
The fix is to machine the rods down to fit into the pistons.
Block should be done next week if everything else goes as planned.
Unfortunately I won't be making the cookout :(
